God‘s Heart for Social Justice

Social Justice is very close to our Father’s Heart!

• Micah 6:1-8   “With what shall I come before the LORD...He has showed you , O man, what is good…To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
• Isaiah 1:14-17  “Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates…Stop doing wrong, learn to do right!  Seek (emphasis mine) justice, encourage the oppressed.  Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.”
• Hosea 6:6 “I desire mercy, not sacrifice…”
• James 1:27  Pure and faultless religion is…

Proverbs 14:31
“He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”
As we care for the poor, the needy, the oppressed, we are walking out who our Creator intended us to be and bring Him honor!

    • We can’t afford it ( more than 8 months wages)
    • Let them fend for themselves.
